Curious why LeBron James is so successful? It’s because he reads. Check out his favorite books below.
We all know that LeBron James is one of the best basketball players in the world.
He was deemed the Most Valuable Player four times and has won the championship title just as many times.
He’s also achieved two big handfuls of other accolades as well, such as being an 18-time NBA All-Star, scoring champion, and assists leader.
He’s truly a once-in-a-generation talent.
But did you know that he’s just as talented when it comes to his off-court endeavours?
LeBron leads a sports management company, a production company, and has signed multiple endorsement deals with major companies, ranging from Beats by Dre to Mcdonald’s. He also revolutionized how players sign new NBA contracts by agreeing to shorter deals so that he can maximize the amount of money he makes.
With his production company, SpringHill Entertainment, he has executive produced multiple films and documentaries.
Some of the notable ones are More Than a Game (the documentary on his high school basketball career), The Carter Effect (a documentary on Vince Carter), and The Wall (an NBC game show).
Additionally, LeBron is big on philanthropy and activism and was awarded the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award in 2017.
Through his foundation, the LeBron James Family Foundation, he has raised millions of dollars for non-profit organizations
Some of the organizations that he has donated to are: the Boys and Girls Club of America, the Children’s Defense Fund, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
LeBron also started his own school in 2018, the I Promise School, in his hometown of Akron, Ohio as a means to support at-risk children.
As for his activism, LeBron is constantly fighting against social injustice.
He has spoken out against the war in Darfur, the killing of Trayvon Martin, the Michael Brown verdict, the killing of Eric Garner, and the lack of action in arresting the police officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor.
